ABOUT
MAXINE LEMIEUX
is a queer and métis multidisciplinary graphic artist and photographer based in Toronto, Canada. She holds a degree in filmmaking and a specialization in design. Her art merges illustration and film photography, drawing inspiration from dance music and the enchantment of everyday moments. In 2022, she completed her first animated short film "A Great Big Terrible Dream", leading her to win the Women in Film award at the Image Arts Film Festival. In 2023, Maxine painted a mural for the UP HERE 9 festival and designed a beer can for Collective Arts.
Over the past year, she immersed herself in Amsterdam's dance culture, documenting it through her photography. Now, she has returned to Toronto to continue capturing the city's energy.
